The TechCelerator at State College Accepting Applications until 10/11/13

The TechCelerator @State College is inviting area entrepreneurs to participate in their next 8-Week Boot Camp for business startups. If you have a new, tech-based business idea that you’ve been wondering how to commercialize, this Boot Camp is for you. The sessions run for 2 hours per week, on eight successive Tuesdays, starting October 22, 2013 – December 10, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m.

If you are chosen to participate in this exciting opportunity, you could receive up to $1,000 toward legal and accounting startup costs and will have the chance to pitch your business idea to a panel of entrepreneurs at the completion of the course. The top presenter receives $10,000 to help get the business off the ground. Business mentoring from Ben Franklin’s Transformation Business Services Network and Penn State’s Small Business Development Center staff will be available at no cost.

You’ll come away from this experience with a list of best practices, lessons-learned, and a valuable toolbox that will help you start your own tech-business.  The Boot Camp is free of charge.  Contact Don McCandless by phone at 814-865-2040 or by email at ude.u1503433355sp@471503433355mld1503433355.
