INRange Systems, Inc., has developed a remote medication management technology called EMMA®: Electronic Medication Management Assistant. The system allows a physician or pharmacist to remotely manage prescriptions stored in a device placed in the patient’s residence. It is of particular benefit to patients on complex drug regimens or whose mental faculties have been compromised, for situations in which compliance must be assured (e.g., mental health patients, clinical trials), and for settings involving Schedule I narcotics.
