INRange Named As One of Red Herring's Global 100 Private Companies

Laguna Nigel, California - Jan 14, 2010. INRange Systems, Inc., the developer and supplier of the only FDA cleared remote medication management system (known as EMMA®), was named as a winner of the Red Herring Global 100 Award. It joins a select list of companies from around the world that were honored as Red Herring’s Global 100 Private Companies for 2009 at their award ceremony in Laguna Nigel, CA last week.

Red Herring’s (www.redherring.com) Global 100 list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs. Red Herring’s editors select nominees from the winners of their Top 100 North American, Top 100 Europe, and Top 100 Asia competitions for its Global 100 Award. The editorial judges review each nomination and assess nominees on both quantitative and qualitative criteria such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their ecosystem.

Specific to the Red Herring 100 Global Award, the judges look closely at the company's global strategy to evaluate how the company will be able to handle the challenges of internationalization and a global presence. Past award winners include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, and YouTube.

INRange has the ability to offer a turnkey solution for medication management on a global scale by advancing the reach of traditional pharmacy and nursing. To start up an EMMA, all that is required is a cellular connection and a local or mail order pharmacy to package medications. EMMA’s applicability is broad and compelling, extending across numerous verticals including, but not limited to, complex drug management, clinical trials, mental health, elderly as well as rural care. For just a few dollars a day, EMMA dramatically reduces the burden on both the domestic and international health care system.

This unique assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the actual track record and standing of a company, which allows Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list an invaluable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

“Choosing the best out of the previous three years was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed down our list from 1,200 potential companies to 200 finalists. Trying to get it down to 100 companies was a task upon itself. The top 100 companies who were chosen should be extremely proud, the competition was difficult.”

“I was honored to accept the award on behalf of the Company,” said Chris Bossi, President of INRange. “It is encouraging to know that industry experts recognize the global impact that our EMMA® product can have on the health of people around the world and it is a tribute to the dedicated staff at INRange.”
