Dr. Gregory Jackson Named Innovator of the Year

The Life Sciences Greenhouse of Central Pennsylvania (LSGPA) congratulates Gregory Jackson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Penn State Hershey College of Medicine, on being named Innovator of the Year by the college’s Office of Technology Development.  Dr. Jackson is also CSO and a co-founder of Maculogix, Inc., an LSGPA portfolio company.

Innovator of the Year is the most prestigious of The Innovation Awards, which recognize faculty whose ideas moved forward through execution of a licensing agreement, starting a company, or earning a patent during the preceding year. An awards ceremony was held on November 7.

Twenty-three individuals were recognized, and LSGPA also extends its congratulations to the following individuals and departments: Cellular and Molecular Physiology – Yuguang Shi, Ph.D., Anthony Pegg, Ph.D.; Microbiology and Immunology – Craig Meyers, Ph.D., Samina Alam, Ph.D.; Pharmacology – Gavin Robertson, Ph.D., Shantu Amin, Ph.D., Dhimant Desai, Ph.D., Mark Kester, Ph.D., Arati Sharma, Ph.D., Arun Sharma, Ph.D., Chandagalu Raghavendra D. Gowda, Ph.D., Omer Kuzu, Anton Mulder; Surgery – Christopher Siedlecki, Ph.D., William Weiss, Ph.D.; Medicine – Lawrence Sinoway, M.D., and Anesthesiology – Victor Ruiz-Velasco, Ph.D.
